Abstract: Conflict resolution is crucial in contemporary management, especially given the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and global challenges such as inflation and warfare. Disagreements emerge when the goals of different parties don't align, yet they can spark fresh viewpoints and solutions. while conflicts are inherent within organizations, they can impede productivity and job contentment. effective conflict management, which spotlights collaboration and minimizes avoidance, becomes pivotal for bolstering productivity. A model proposed by Thomas and Kilmann identifies five modes of conflict resolution: competition, collaboration, compromise, avoidance, and accommodation. This model bears similarities to Blake and Mouton's framework, which also delineates five conflict management modes. Nonetheless, Thomas and Kilmann’s model sets itself apart by integrating two core dimensions -assertiveness and cooperation—and subsequently categorizing conflict resolution styles. The collaborative style is esteemed as the most proficient approach. by adeptly employing strategies for managing conflict, organizations can adeptly steer through disputes and foster both employee efficiency and contentment. The principal aim of this study is to replicate a conflict scenario wherein participants are assigned the duty of rectifying the conflict. Before the simulation, participants (n=349) - mainly composed of students - undertook a questionnaire (n=299). The investigation then compares the questionnaire outcomes with the behaviors and presumptions observed during a specialized business game focused on decision-making. The most important result of the research is to highlight how we can better solve the conflict situation and what conflict management behavior is the best way to solve conflicts.
